Terms of Service

Velko is built and operated by Luca Matea, a solo developer in Romania. By using Velko Web or Velko Mobile, you agree to these terms. They apply to both products — where something differs, we'll say so.

What Velko is

Both products are designed to help you track your spending and reflect on it. Velko is a tracker, not a financial advisor.

Velko Web is a free Progressive Web App at velkoapp.me for tracking personal expenses. It runs entirely on your device and has no account system.
Velko Mobile is the iOS and Android version. It uses an account to sync your data between devices. Some features may require a paid Velko Pro subscription once it launches.

Who can use Velko

You must be at least 16 years old to use Velko. By creating an account on Velko Mobile, you confirm you meet that age requirement.

Your account (Velko Mobile)

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.
One person per account. Don't share your account or use someone else's.
You can delete your account anytime from Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is permanent.

Subscriptions (Velko Mobile)

Velko Pro is a recurring subscription sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Pricing is shown in your local currency on the paywall before you confirm.
Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew at the end of each period unless canceled at least 24 hours before it ends.
Cancellation: manage and cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Restore Purchases: tap "Restore Purchases" on the paywall or in Settings if you reinstall or move to a new device.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their refund policies — not by us.

Your content

Your transactions, notes, categories, and mood tags are yours. We don't claim any rights over them.
We do not sell your data.
We do not train AI models on your data.
You can export everything as JSON anytime: Settings → Export Data.

Acceptable use

Don't:

Attempt to break into, attack, or disrupt Velko's services.
Access other users' accounts or data.
Use Velko for anything illegal.
Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell access to Velko.

If you do, we may suspend or terminate your account.

Intellectual property

The Velko name, logo, and app design belong to Luca Matea.
You retain ownership of all the data you enter.
Velko is built on top of open-source software (Next.js, Flutter, Drift, PowerSync, and others), each licensed under its own terms.

Ending your use of Velko

You can stop using Velko anytime. Uninstall the app, or delete your account from Settings.
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms — for example, abuse, fraud, or repeated chargebacks.
If we terminate your account, your data is deleted according to the schedule in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers

Velko is provided "as is" and "as available." We can't promise it will be bug-free or always available. We don't guarantee any specific outcome from using it.

Velko isn't financial advice. It's a tracking tool. What you do with your money is your decision.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Luca Matea isn't liable for any indirect or consequential damages caused by your use of Velko. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid for Velko in the 12 months before the claim — which, for free users, is zero.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced in the app and the "Last updated" date will change. Continuing to use Velko after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Disputes will be resolved by Romanian courts, except where consumer protection law in your country gives you the right to use your local courts.
